Emily L. Bowman, Partner

Emily Bowman is a founding partner of Rounds & Bowman. Her practice focuses primarily on estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, uncontested guardianships and conservatorships, and premarital and marital agreements.

Emily has been a practicing attorney in the areas of estate planning and administration since 2014. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and having worked in a nursing home through college, she has the background, experience, and compassion to understand and address the unique issues facing seniors.

Emily is active in the Colorado Bar Association community. She co-heads a subcommittee with the Orange Book Forms Committee preparing a model trust for practitioners to use when retirement benefits are gifted to minors. She frequently volunteers as a supervising attorney in power of attorney clinics within the community. She has been a frequent author of Colorado Lawyer articles, including two articles analyzing the impact of the SECURE Act on retirement account benefits, particularly when paid into trust, and was a co-author of the Colorado Lawyer Trust & Estate section from 2019-2025.

Emily is a third generation Coloradoan and loves everything sunny Colorado has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys running, spending time outdoors or at her family cabin, attempting to garden, organizing, cheering on the Broncos, spending time with her husband, and spoiling her rescue dogs and cat.
